Who are we

Helder General Practice has four pillars on which the practice is based.

Green GP

GP Helder is a green GP practice. The healthcare sector contributes to climate change through CO2 emissions and environmental pollution. A green GP takes environmental impact into account in treatment choices, minimizes medication use and is committed to clean living conditions. In addition, Dr. Helder is active in the Groene Buur and is a Green Pin Bearer.

Patient autonomy

As a result of the healthcare transition, the role of a GP is also changing. My scientific basis lies in the guidelines of the NHG, but my holistic vision looks beyond medical science alone. I want the patient to be in control, with my knowledge as a supplement to his or her own choices.

Healthcare transition

Healthcare is at a dead end: rising costs and staff shortages require change. Where AI is seen as a solution, I believe that resilience and people’s own control are the key. Healthcare transition is a personal process, in which connection and trust are central.

End of life

Autonomy is important, but when thinking about death, connection plays a crucial role. Euthanasia is not a purely individual choice, but a process in which we work together. My role as a GP is to find out the deeper question and to guide people, without letting go.

When you register, I will be happy to schedule an introductory meeting in which I will explain this further.

Our Team

Anneloes Helder

General practicioner

My name is Anneloes Helder. Born in Slochteren, raised in the city of Groningen. At the age of seven I already knew that I wanted to become a general practitioner. Due to the lottery system in the Netherlands, I had to move to Belgium, where I did my basic training, general practitioner training and also tropical training. In the end I did not work in the tropics. I met my current husband and we settled near Amsterdam. In the meantime I have worked in various health centres in Almere for almost 15 years and we are proud parents of three boys, who are now attending secondary school. This gave me a free hand and through an intensive and personal process I felt that I should not wait any longer but really had to realise my own dream: my own green practice at home.
